Just when I thought Channel 2 couldn't get more idiotic, they have a weather dog? Does he live in the weather garden? The Dog Walking Forecast - with magnet hats for the magnet dog - makes a bad thing even WORSE!!!!

How long have they been doing this crap? (I've been watching a LOT of movies and Daily Show lately and just caught the local news for the first time since maybe July)

Does Frank Billingsly just want to kill himself every morning knowing he has to put on this dog and pony show (ok, no pony) ? I would be waking up to a Jameson on a daily basis...

I feel sorrier for that dog then I do those dorky a$$ weathermen. Poor thing didn't ask to be assisting with a daily forecast.

I don’t know what to think of the dog on TV, but I know he was adopted by them a good while ago and lives in the news station…could be worse he could live in a small apartment in New York..

Saying the dog should die is a little harsh. You may not have meant that literally, but still...

They rescued that dog from the ASPCA and I'd much rather put up with their corny little dog skits than accept another innocent dog being put to sleep.

Yes but would you still think this way if the "corny little dog skits" involved smoking cigars and having a hand up it's backside.

Yeah no doubt. I watch fox after 7:30am when most of the other local stations go national and that guy is annoying as hell. He tries to act all excited with the people he is around then he will ask them a question and yank the mic back from them. Like he feels as if they are ignorant and he is the only one that should be talking. Some days he acts like a fairy and then sometimes it seems as if he doesn't like men or women.

Anyone see the host of the comedian show on Leno last night, he was going off on a drug sniffing dogs life, how they have to smell sirty underwear and old shoes their whole life. Hilarious.

At least most of them have some "eye candy" that makes their shows worth tuning in from time to time. ;)

Man accused of killing dog with sword

TOOELE, Utah (AP) -- A man has been accused of stabbing a dog to death with a sword in retaliation against its owner, a hotel owner who had evicted him.

Daniel Painter, 30, was charged Tuesday with aggravated assault and cruelty to animals.

Police said Painter attacked a chow-Labrador mix named Kabu with a sword early Sunday.

Kabu's owner, Garth Jones, said he was awakened early Sunday to the sound of a thud and a yelp.

Jones said he saw his dog being repeatedly stabbed by Painter, whom he had recently evicted from the Kirk Hotel in Tooele, about 25 miles southwest of Salt Lake City.

Jones said the man then threatened him and chased after him, but Jones was able to run into his office and call police.

Painter was evicted after he allegedly failed to pay his rent last month and attempted to negotiate a cheaper rate after complaining latex paint had hurt his health.
