Any ideas if we are getting throwback unis this year??? I understand that there is thread for alternate unis but I never heard of bringing back the 94-95 unis. Any chance we will be part of Hardwood Classics nights again?
totally agree...I guess the NBA picks out teams who will sell the most merchandise to participate in the Hardwood Classics. I think with the roster we have right now, we are very very marketable.
i heard that the we are one of the 6-7 teams who will participate in the throwback next season. we'll wear the jerseys from the 94-95 championship season i think. the heat will also bring out its throwback; same w/ the bulls w/ the 96-97 pinstripe black/red. the lakers will also wear their yellow throwback
what i dont understand is why the nuggets got to wear so many uniforms last year. they had the baby blue, dark blue, white, the old school nuggets one (i think), the old school san diego rockets one. Man they should just let us wear whatever uni's we want. The old school rockets ones were so badass.
Can i not make a new thread until i've appraoched a certain number of posts? anyway, anybody else hate the new uniforms (well.. not new now, but the more recent ones, the ones they use now) i liked the rockets striped uniforms a lot better than the ones we have now, i also like the throwbacks a hell of a lot better... how long does a team usually keep a uniform before changing?
I never liked the 3rd alternate uni talk. Ive never commented on it. But... I was thinking. Yao isn't the number 1 selling jersey in China anymore because they all have it. If we launched an alternate uniform Les would bank. Yao, McGrady, Francis, Battier, those 4 jerseys would sell like gig em pies. Then maybe Les would pay the luxury tax? Just dreaming... NOTE- I wasn't really commenting on the throwbacks. I took this off topic. I apologize in advance...
I hope they let us wear the throwbacks next season, we have some of the best lookin old school ones and should be able to show them off again.
throwbacks would be awesome, but most average fans wouldn't understand and want the futuristic pajamas, the fans that pay the big $$
94-95 ones are the best ever..no doubt about it...jersey sales would fly through the roof if rockets made this permanent
damn i just noticed that we never did throwbacks last season..and we usually win when we do throwbacks..
i like our current unis but it seems most people would love the 94-95 ones if they were permanent. it's too bad they completely ditched those for no reason when they could have just slightly updated with the times. kind of like the celtics do with theirs. instead they went cartoon and then had to fix it with the look they have now. again, i do like our uniforms but i don't consider them timeless looking.
i can't wait to see those again. i know it's cool to hate on those around here, but i still love them.
