    Hey Chance, I saw your video on the Rockets website with Ryan doing the Yao Ming Song video. Its a nice video, I really liked it. Keep up the good work with the song-writing. What song are you guys working on now?

    Wow - talk about a thread directed your way;)

    The video thing was a blast and Hagedorn is a lot of fun to hang with.

    What are we working on now? Well we are starting to play out. As most of you guys know we did EVERYTHING ass-backwards. I have been doing sports songs for three years now. They all had the shelf life of about a week or two. I would get my kicks...the guys at 610 would laugh a bit...people at Compaq would yell "Air Bull!"...everyone was having a hoot.

    I knew it would be different with the Yao Ming Song but I wasn't sure how different. Everything happened very rapidly. We had the CD out before we had ever played a gig. Our coming out party was in front of 16,000 people live and 300 million on TV. So finally in the past few months our heads have started to stop spinning and we can plan on the future. We've farted around in the studio (80s Song, We got your Back, a few other suprises), we've put a full band together and are starting to play out. Our first gig is a semi-private affair on May 17th at Ragin' Cajun at Westheimer & Gessner. I say semi because there will officially be a bunch of tv, radio, and print people there along with family and a bunch of pro players but unofficially it is still a restaurant and the doors will be open.

    I want everyone on this bbs to come to this gig and introduce yourself. RSVP in this thread.

    Where was I? So we are going to start playing out and spreading our name. We'll be doing the Fox Sports Net show a bunch more and some other things like that.

    We are trying to get Damned Receipt and This is a song out as singles.

    We had a trip to Shanghai canceled because of SARS.

    Oh yeah and we are doing a HUGE interview with John Lomax of the Houston Press next Thursday at the Astros game. Look in the May 15th Houston Press for a big spread about the little band that could.

    I guess that's it. I am sure I am forgetting stuff but that'll do for now. Thank you for the interest HTown.

    Speaking of rides. It was just last night (in an intoxicated state) I saw a Metro bus and had the urge to ride one. Almost to the point I was going to get a few blocks ahead and jump on, but I realized I had no cash.:(

    Ill trade you. I live in a hick ass town in North Carolina. Population of 200. We have 2 stop lights, 8 stop signs, 1 grocery store.

    I'd love to but unfortunately I have 56K dialup. I'd love it if someone could convert those vids into MPEG format though so I can download them to my C drive.
