I have been reading lots of articles about how lottery picks will get us to be a championship team. But i have a diffrent look, and Please correct me if you think diffrently. These days are diffrent than older days, great players might not and most liklly will not stay in a small city after finishing there 5 year rookie contract. I bleavie that palyers like Duncen and Garnet will look at things at the end of thier contract in this way. If two teams are intrested they will stay in thier starting team provided that they get the money they want and convinced that the team will build for a championship run, othre wise they will leave for a better, bigger city with a better chance of winning a championship. It's about timming if we can have a desent team and money to give we can land players like Duncen and K.G. and make a run for championship. What I'm trying to say is, even when we go to lottery picks we only garanteed that they will stay only 5 years, after that it's a new game. If we can build the next two years or 3 then we will still have S.F and a good team by that time, then all we need is a superstar to add. Houston is a big city and will have a good team at that time, then we just have to find the money to sign the superstar. What do you guys think? Young talent + Free agency = Championship P.S: Please forgive my spelling mistakes
Fencer, I agree with you, I said it in an earlier post, titled. "How long until we are contenders again" DaDakota
