I know that I may be the only person with a vote that posts in this room, but it still is impactful and I didn't want to bring back any of the other threads.

I'm happy to say I voted for Saxby Chambliss about 20min ago, even though I disagree with him on some levels(fair tax, TARP).

I think if Obama had come to GA for Martin, he could have won, but I doubt he can now.

saxby chambliss is a terrible human being. comparing a man who lost three limbs defending our country to osama bin laden is an absolute disgrace and it's a national embarassment that he's a sitting us senator (and will probably win again).

Chambliss' campaign against Max Cleland was disgraceful. McCain going to GA to campaign for him was disappointing, but oh well.

    Word to Happy Mac.

juicystream: I don't have any problem with you voting Republican, but Saxby Chambliss is a disgusting and despicable excuse for an American. He should be in stocks for the way he treated a true patriot like Max Cleland. You shouldn't be proud to have voted Chambliss; you should hang your head in shame.

i'm a left-leaning kinda dude, but 365 days ago, i was a huge mccain fan. i didn't necessarily agree with him on everything (not much actually), but i respected that he didn't care what others thought of him just to get votes. i guess it started before last year, but the way he basically sold himself out to win the election was sad. i have a feeling he has a lot of regrets about that.

I'm a non-left-leaning kinda dude and I agree with your assessment of McCain (except I probably agreed with him on more issues than you). I didn't give up on him until July/August.

Hate Shambles, but I'm not sure I want the dems to get 60 anyway.

Any Repub standing in the way of good progress is going to get her/his ass handed to her/him during the next election, so I think filibusters would be rare.

Glad to see that Sarah Epic Palin was just minding her own business and serving the people of Alaska and their newfound budget crisis by hitting the stump for Chambliss down in GA this week. I wonder how much if anything she charged the state of Alaska for this trip.

I don't think this race is going to be close. The reason Georgia was close was Obama voters - without them, Martin wouldn't have been competitive the first time around. For anyone wondering if Obama was under or overperforming "generic Democrat", I think this will be the answer.

I actually had promised to vote against him, and would have if Obama hadn't taken the lead in the polls and then won the election. It is an Anti-Martin vote. He is running on the I'll do everything Obama commands of me platform.

I actually thought Buckley was the best choice, but he had no chance of winning.

He couldn't have won the primary without selling out to some degree. It is the fault of the system to some degree.

everyone panders. to win the republican nomination, he had to move a little further right to appease the doubters on the evangelical side. i was referring more to hiring the same people who smeared him and his wife in 2000 and then stumping for this guy.
