http://nba.si.com/2013/01/29/mario-chalmers-heat-point-guard-rankings/ [Chalmers] believes he belongs in a listing of the top point guards in the NBA. “I’d say top 10,’’ the Miami Heat fifth-year man said of where he ranks. “I’m not in the lower part (of the top 10), I’m in the middle part. I just have confidence in myself. I think I can compete with the best of them.’’ All of this is coming from a guy averaging 7.7 points and 3.4 assists. But Chalmers doesn’t care how many snickers are heard about where he believes he ranks among point guards. “That’s how I feel no matter what people say or what people think,’’ Chalmers said.
he plays w/ wade, lebron, and bosh.. there was no way he can drop more than 10 points or so given his role on the team. so who knows
IF you're in the NBA you have to have belief in your ability. That said, he's not really shown much. It's not like he has anything brilliant. He gets a ton of open shots and open lanes.
Just off the top of my head: Paul,Rose, Williams, Holiday, Parker, Curry,Rondo, Irving, Westbrick, Mo Williams, Walker, Teague, Jennings, Lawson, Dragic
Lol i was trolling. He is a good player. He was good in college. He has big moments. But you can't really argue where he stands because he plays with so many great players. You can have Cole start on the heat.. Any point guard can start for the heat.. that can hit 3s..
The Lin Harden co-exist thing got me thinking which PGs in the league do not need the ball in their hands and Chalmers is the only one I can think of.
He's not even a PG. No one is a PG in Miami, it's just whoever brings the ball up the court hand it off to Lebron or Wade and and get in position for a 3.
1. Paul 2. Westbrook 3. Rose* 4. Rondo* 5. Irving 6. Holiday 7. Curry 8. Lilliard 9. Parker 10. D Will 11. Jennings 12. Conley 13. Lawson 14. Lowry 15. John Wall 16. Jeremy Lin 29. Chalmers
Teams that Chalmers wouldn't suit up for: 1. the Clippers. 2. The Grizzlies 3. I'm sure people could think of some more...
Playing with those guys and still only shooting 41% isn't very inspiring. He could easily get 10 or more a game if he was a good shooter.
1. Chris Paul 2a. Derrick Rose 2b. Russell Westbrook 3. Rajon Rondo 4. Tony Parker 5. Kyrie Irving 6. Stephen Curry 7. Jrue Holiday 8. Deron Williams 9. Brandon Jennings 10. Kemba Walker. Chalmers is on something.
