It's funny, he wasn't even quoted directly saying he wanted to play in Houston. It's also worth noting that Mcnair and Rick Smith hav never been interested in high profile controversial athletes...highly doubtful
Honestly, I don't think giving him a shot on a minimum contract would be that bad. He is friends with AJ, who could help him pick up the playbook and we could get a legit #2 prospect WR on league minimum for a season all without having to pray that either one of our younger guys or a rookie develops into one. I'd say bring him in for a work out at least, it isn't like our cap situation allows for anything but a guy in his position.
Im sure he would take the vet minimum to play...he just wants to be on the field. I see no harm in giving him that chance.
I mean cause not only did 32/32 teams not want him, but he got cut by the freaking Dolphins!!! One of the worst receiving corps in all of football...a big no thanks....unless he wants to pay us to help out our cap situation.....
