Agree. Just horrible quality (sound and picture), and I am watching it on Cable! (you'ld think the quality would be better, but no)
My cable reception sucks, too. I find it better to just break out the antenna. After 30 minutes of adjusting it this way and that, I find I can get a better picture ...
My parents used to not even get 51 on cable. Used to just be static with channel 12 over it. I haven't checked it since they got digital cable.
I would rather pay and watch quality picture rather than this blurry s**t. I have to squint just to tell all the players apart.
Im watching chan 51 on directv with my toshiba 57" hdtv, and the pic quality is VERY bad and blurry compared to other channels. I'm also too far away to recieve the channel 51 digital channel because my hd antenna wont pick up a reception for it. Man I wish FSSW had a HD channel.
I thought I was the only one! In the living room the picture is fine, as far as interference is concerned. It's still off a bit in the color department in my opinion...usually way too dark. However, in the room next to mine it comes in with horizontal lines in the background. Nothing very intrusive, just annoying at times. In the other room next to mine, it does the same thing. But in MY room it's like there's a hurricane on my television. There's no sound and I can hardly make out if the ball is even in play or if they are just standing around. Forget recognizing players, made baskets, the ball in general, or the score...those are all impossible to make out. It pisses me off because the my parents occupy the living room TV and they are fans but Rockets games are not always top priority for them, and the other two rooms where it comes in are basically storage rooms now and there's no good place to sit! Blah!
same here. Its fine in the bedroom but once I take it in the living room...wait let me start over here. WHEN WATCHING THE ROX ON 51, it comes in at best on the bedroom TV but once I move into the living room (GF has to watch her CSI and Law & Orders) the TV gets fuzzy and another channel bleeds in. The quality sucks but none the less I still get to watch my fav team play ball. Am I the only 1 missing calvin murphy right now?
the good news is most of the regular seasons home and away games will be on FSN this year. Last year, just the home games and maybe a few road games were on FSN.
For someone that has to get Rockets games on League Pass, yeah, 51 sucks. There are a few other bad UHF stations out there, PHO, Philly, Chicago and NOLA have some frustrating ones, but 51 may top that list. Is it sad that I can dissect the vicissitudes of NBA/UHF stations around the globe, but I can't remember my girlfriend's -- the one I've known for ten years -- birthday?
yeah i got a 65in. high def mitsubishi, and im fliping back and forth between the stros game (which was being broadcasted in high def.) and the rockets game on 51 (what i like to call low def.). 51 is just horrible, FSN is better
