[ch 2 video] Yao discusses TMac feud rumors (1/15)

Gawd damm I wonder if Yao and Mutombo can understand each other when they talk. Someone give me a transcript.

 

The rumors of it being a feud could be exaggerated, but clearly certain things were said. Hopefully its all good now.

 

This video will be dissected more than the Zapruder film.

You couldn't understand Yao in that video? I thought it was pretty darn clear, especially for Yao.

 

I can if I really focus but it's hard on my ears. It's like listening to the Vietnamese language.

 

Yao is controlling the situation, however small or big it is, like expected.

if he ever lets loose and starts venting during a practice interview, thats when you know its beyond bad.

I got the feeling like some of the info that was leaked is true but Yao will never confess to it. He's to much of a professional.

 

People should put this behind us already, this team is going through a tough time already. They should all be foucsing on winning games, so does the fans.

So the news is not fake?

 

Yao said "I am upset about this news. IT IS fake, ok!"

 

he basically confirmed that him and tracy have been talking, then goes onto say that the locker room is very good, and there is some joking around going on.

- its been a tough time due to the rumours similar to this past summer (is he talking about the artest / yao rumors when the trade went down?)

- its easy when you are winnings, everything goes good, but right now its tough and they need to stay together

- assures reporters everything is good with tracy, and he was surprised when he first heard the idea that it was not.

-first time in his career that hes been involved in such a rumored feud.

(heres the part that everyone is reading into)

- whatever is said in the locker room, should stay in the locker room. thats just a rule among teammates. team mates grow to be like fmaily over course of 82 game season. Whatever rumor did not come from locker room.

- at the same time , he denies theres any secret. and says that the rumored feud is false.

did i get that right? kinda paraphrased. so i hope i didnt lose much in translation.

 

He was asked at the end if it was true, and he was upset that it was leaked - or if it wasn't true.

He said "What??" like he didn't understand. Someone nearby seemed to translate the question into Chinese and he said something like "I'm saying it's fake. Ok?"

Can't get much clearer.

 

Yao said everything is alright and that the media likes to spin things when times are difficult for the Rockets. He said the Rockets are like a family and that everything said in the locker room stays in the locker room. He denies the Aldridge report and is upset that it's fake.
