I think this is one case where flipping the bird is justified...up 43-0 and going for the on-side? Still a classless move by the Wyoming coach, I guess he kinda deserves a whooping after guaranteeing a win. http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaaf/news?slug=ap-wyoming-apology&prov=ap&type=lgns
Yeah, but as a Utah alum, I have to say that this is just brilliant all the way around. I think that somebody forgot that he coaches Wyoming. WYOMING. You don't guarantee a win against anybody (especially when you're about to get blown out 50-0). Generally speaking, running up the score is a classless move. But when the other team's coach says that they are going to go into your house and guarantee a victory, I think you're entitled to kick the **** out of them however you like. You have to understand--at Utah, we don't really have much of a football program. But other than BYU, Wyoming is really the only team we genuinely hate in the conference. We always have. Hell, BYU hates Wyoming...it seems like everybody in our little conference hates Wyoming, and the feeling is mutual. So Whittingham can say whatever he wants now--but I think that the onside kick was a planned move.
Ya...at first you think that the Utes were just running up the score, but a coach guaranteeing a win is dumb. So I guess both sides got what was coming to them.
