Jim Harbaugh: Ohio State, I see your 58-0 shutout of Rutgers and give you 78-0. Meanwhile, Washington is spanking Oregon 70-21.
Even with their struggles so far this season, I didn't think there was any way that Oregon would part ways with Helfrich, but man, you absolutely cannot get run off the field by Washington like that.
He's an Oregon native and I think they will do all possible to give him another year. But getting completely trashed at home by your archrival will start the fires burning. This makes 4 straight losses and the streak could be 9 before they finish the season at Oregon State. If that happens, he's gone. It's more than a W/L thing. Watching them play you can just tell he has no business being head coach at a big time program. Helfrich is an OC and no more.
Interesting that just one day after we had this discussion in this thread, this story comes out: LINK Long story short, the MSU AD didn't extend Dan Mullen's contract after last season, so Mullen went out and hired Jimmy Sexton to be his agent. For those who aren't aware, Sexton is the Scott Boras of the college football coaching game. He represents a pretty large percentage of the biggest names in the game, and not coincidentally, his coaches' names are always among the most prominent in some of the highest-profile searches. Whether it's getting them into better jobs or floating names to squeeze more money out of a coach's current school, he gets his guys paid.

Just saw a postgame clip of Jim Harbaugh that was hilarous: They have a bunch of talented players but we had more.
