    i will be fine if its a repeat of what happened last time texas fought that other school for the bcs title in pasadena

    This is a projection based on the season ending today, not projections for the season as a whole. It's based on computers that don't have enough data to do proper rankings. For example, 2 of the 6 computers have Pittsburgh as #1, and 3 don't have Florida in the top 25.

    I wish they would stop doing any polling until at least Oct 1. By that point, you've got a good idea about teams and the polls would be more legit.

    No offense, but it's hard to take any formula or simulation seriously that doesn't include Florida at least in the top two.

    Texas and USC will both lose at least 2 games. Both teams have holes that worry me.

    You misunderstood the article...or I've misunderstood you. The website is not predicting that USC and Texas will face off for the BCS championship. The website is merely stating that if the BCS standings came out all year instead of midseason, Texas and USC would be #1 and #2 this week.

    Thats how I interpreted as. Florida isn't in the top 2 because so far they've only played creampuffs

    Why? Their schedule is crap this year. And they are the most illegitimate defending champion in college football history.

    Illegitimate? Right....

    I'm very much neutral on this issue. To me, they are easily one of the best two teams. Throw in the fact that they're defending champions and that counts for something in my book. You guys would be saying the same thing if Texas was being discredited.

    How are they illegitimate? They beat the #1-ranked team two weeks in a row to end the season last year. They won the BCS Championship while holding the highest scoring offense in college football history to 14 points. They played the #2 toughest schedule in the NCAA last season. Seems legit to me.
