how do you get certified in a+ microsoft and anything else you can get certified in what does certification in this mean where do you go and what do you to to get certified is it hard beneficial good
Well I was told by a MIS graduate that when you look for jobs dealing with computers, programming, networking, etc. 90% of the people ask if you are certified in anything. I've never heard of A+ certification but I have heard of Microsoft certification although I'm not sure myself what certification is and how one would become certified.
I'm Microsoft Certified (MCSE on NT 4.0 and Win2k). I did most of the stuff on my own, but there are some good training facilities in the Houston area. Certification is nice to have if you have experience to back it up, but you'll have a hard time finding a job with certs and no experience. A+ certification is for someone interested in more of a hardware/pc tech type of position. I wouldnt reccomend anyone getting into the IT field right now unless you are already in it. The job market sucks, although it has shown signs of slowly picking up.
If you don't have the experience, certifications mean nothing. Anyone can take these tests and pass them from study guides. If you want to take them, don't blow your money on the courses, just buy the study guides, read them, and take the tests. Oh yeah, you might want to have a computer to actually try out some of the tings that you're reading about.
I agree. The IT field sucks right now and I wouldnt suggest getting into the market either. Thats why we had to move to Indy.
