lets admit it, hes running out of fuel, fast.
So my question is, is worthy to be up there with the all time Celtic greats?

I doubt they'd do Garnett. They'll probably do Pierce though.

Celtics like retiring jerseys. Pierce is definitely going to be retired. Ray Allen isn't.

Garnett is tough. Maybe if they had one more run.

    Pierce for sure.
Allen and Garnett maybe in their original teams. I don't know if OKC will be willing to retire Allen's number though.

Allen only played like 3 and a half seasons in Seattle, so I doubt they would even consider it.

Its either OKC or the Bucks. If not OKC then nobody.

How do you think Bill Walton would feel about it?

    KG-
TWolves, 12 seasons, 8 playoff apperances (only ones in franchise history), 1 conf finals (7 first round exits). 1 league MVP, 8 All-NBA teams, 8 All-Defensive teams
Celtics, In 5th season, playoffs every year (during first 4), 2 finals appearances, 1 ship. 1 DPOY, 1 All-NBA team, 3 All-Defensive teams

    Ray-
    Bucks, 7 seasons, 3 playoff appearances, 1 conf finals. 1 All-NBA team
Sonics, 3.5 seasons, 1 playoff appearance (second round exit). 1 All-NBA team
Celtics, In 5th season, playoffs every year (during first 4), 2 finals appearances, 1 ship

Keep in mind, both have been All-Stars almost every year they have been in the league (I think both have a couple of exceptions).

TWolves will for sure retire KG. Celtics is up in the air. If his corpse continues to play for them for a couple of seasons more after this, then I think they easily could. But if he retires after this year, then I think no (just because its only 5 years of his career).

No way Celts should retire the numbers of KG or Ray Allen. Definitely PP.

OKC has no relationship with Ray Allen. Dead issue.

Nope. IMO, you should only retire someone's number if they played for the team either their whole career or most of there years. And since Garnett didn't bring Minnesota a championship, KG's number should not be retired for any team.

Why wouldn't you just say that first so I don't have to read your entire post to figure it out.

Minnesota will probably retire KG's number when he retires. And they should be the only team that does it.

He still is the best defensive 4 in the league.

Come on. That would be like the Houston Rockets retiring Clyde Drexler's number...
