I've had little to no problems using Verizon Wireless in NY, Texas, and Colorado. Sure, I get an "All circuits are busy" message every once and a while, but it's rare. It certainly happens less than it does on T-Mobile (which my brother uses). The only drawbacks to VZW are the expensive plans, the lack of rollover minutes, and Verizon's business model of nickle-and-diming the customer to death. I'd mention the phone selection as a drawback, but Verizon has really stepped up their game in the past year. This area has now become average to above average when compared to other services.

My "Any 2" is up right now, and I'm looking long and hard at getting the LG Chocolate for my next phone. Either that or the RAZR V3M. (I want a thin phone for my pocket.) I'm not in any hurry, though. I'm waiting for the dust to settle and the hype to die with the Chocolate, so I can read honest reviews of the phone after extended periods of use (rather than the "OMG. Lik i just got dis phone today it's SWEET" posts I'm seeing right now).

I switched from Cingular to Verizon a few weeks ago and so far, Verizon is about 100 times better in terms of signal quality. One thing I don't like is that if I want to send pics from my camera phone to computer, I have to sign up for some additional service. Lame. I got the motorola e815. It works great. BTW, I'm in Austin. I also just got back from California and it seemed to work well there too. (Except when I was in the middle of nowhere in Mendocino County)

new phone. my contract ends in oct of this year, but last month i slammed a weight on it and it cracked the lcd screen. But tomorrow i get a 100 dollar credit that goes to any phone of my choice, but catch is, i gotta sign another 2 year contract.

vecseysux, check back with me in a few weeks and i'll give u an honest opinion. I just put one on hold for tomorrow.
