Okay guys, so for some reason I guess I live out in the boonies or something. Apparently because I live next to a community college with a TV station in it and a hospital, I have no reception on my phone. Also, it doesn't help that I live just outside of Harris County.

Do any of yall know of like cell phone reception boosters or something I can buy so that my signal wont be as crappy as it is now. I have Sprint btw....

Not really. Cell phones are a give and take system. Even if you could hypothetically boost your reception, you would also have to boost your cell phones ability to communicate with your provider's tower. Essentially its like if you had two people 50 feet away from each other trying to have a conversation. Just because one person starts yelling doesn't mean they can have a conversation, they both would have to start yelling loudly to have a give and take.

Sure. It's called a femtocell. It basically acts as a little cell tower. One end plugs into your Internet and other end broadcasts signal. All the major providers sell them, some with additional monthly fee. Now, if you're looking for some booster when you go out and about, you're out of luck. But for your house at least there are ways.

Sprint's is called the AIRAVE, they charge something like $100 for the device and a monthly fee, but you may be able to call Sprint's support and complain to get it for free (especially if you're off contract).

Well basically when I do get a signal call quality is crisp. I just hardly ever get signal. Not even on roaming :(

I'll try calling Sprint and seeing what's up.
