I just got a new phone about 2 or 3 weeks ago, and it's working great, with one exception. Every day, I get anywhere from 3 to 9 phone calls from this one number. According to google, it's a landscaping company out of Buffalo. Nobody answers or says anything when I answer, so the past couple of days, I've answered and been like, "Don't call my phone, or else I'll look into exploring my options in a case against you." ....something like that. My question is, is there anything I can do? Harassment charges, anything?
Just program their number into your phone so you know who it is that's calling you, and don't answer. I get telemarketers from India that call me once a day around 4pm trying to sell me viagra. I just don't answer their call - not that difficult.
i hope its not 3-9 calls a day. that could be pretty tough to ignore. sorry i dont have any advice though.
Have you tried to call that company? I had a similar issue and we found out that our number had been mistakenly entered into their automatic fax machine billing process. Their system was trying to connect with a fax, basically. We called them and they apologized and removed the number. They basically were off by one digit to one of their customer's fax line.
Call your cell carrier and get their number blocked... it may cost a few bucks 5-10 I suppose (if any) and would be well worth it in my opinion. At least yours has a number... I get "Unavailable" calls all day long, and when I answer it is a fax... and I've had my same cell phone number for over 5 years.
When I had my first cell phone I didnt get those kind of calls, but soon Wildcat Golf coarse got popular and their number was the exact same as mine except they had the 713 area code and I had 281. Freaking calls from customers kept coming every hour! Was rather annoying when I had it, though me and my friends did have some fun scheduling some tee times though .
I had that same problem with my home phone. I just did a google search on the number, which showed me it was the fax number for a local ticket broker and with that I was able to find their office number. I called them up and they removed it from their fax machine.
