I'll get right to the point. I'm with ATT Wireless (soon to be Cingular) My crapshoot Nokia has had it. I need a new phone. Who makes the best, most reliable phones with good reception. Have heard in the past the Motorola and Samsungs are the best phones to buy. Is that true? And what about LG, Sony Ericcson, NEC....they any good or are they crap like Nokia? Any help would be much appreciated........
When you buy a phone on your own, they are such a rip-off! I'd check in with your provider and see about signing another year contract and getting that inexpensive phone that comes with a new contract. Other than that, if you wanna spend money well your choices are limitless. How much ya wanna spend? I use a Motorola V600 and enjoy it very much. Don't ask what I paid
Hell........Nokias give the users at my company less trouble than all the rest. Cell phones and providers are all crap.
Dont really care about the cost.....just want a phone that I dont have to send in to repair all the time, especially when I'm not careless with it. I babied this Nokia at point....still didnt matter. One thing that will help me is that it is "upgrade time" on the contract, which means I can get a phone with the into rates and offers they usually entice possible new customers with. Took a good look at the Moto v550 last night. I was offered $199 walkout. They offered me the v 220 for $149 walkout and the v180 for $69 walkout. Just want to get more input on other brands before I shell out on a new phone......
.....just remembered.....that guy might be full of sh*t cause Cingular shows up on my banner alot nowadays.
I run a cell phone store and we carry at&t wirless and let me tell you somthing, its HORRABLE! Im acctuly going to move it out of the store because we are getting so many customer complaints. If your still willing to stay w/ the company though ill tell you what u can do. Have you had your service for more than 11 months? If so than you can upgrade your phone and/or service for free or at a very nice discounted price. & the motorola V600 is a very nice phone but its a lil expensive becuase it has a camera/vedio/blue tooth/ect. in it BUT they have come out with a V180 and it looks just like the V600 but smaller and with out a camera/vedio/blue tooth. It still has the speaker phone with color screen in it though, id suggest that. -Shawn
Okay.....my comments aren't much help. I've had an inexpensive Samsung E105 through T-mobile for around a year, and without a doubt, T-mobile is far and away the best provider I've ever been with (I've been with pretty much everybody except for Sprint and Nextel. This phone has also been awesome. It feels so light that you think you're gonna break it all the time, but I've dropped it so many times it's ridiculous. AT&T just started offering the Motorola V180, and it's an inexpensive color flip phone....so far, everyone here at work who has them has been happy.
BTW--the AT&T Cingular merger/acquisition will not be completed for a few months, but they've been sharing networks for many months.
Yes T-mobile is the best and cheapiest by far, thats what we sell the most. (they also have the mot V180 now, maybe its time for you to upgrade )
how does that work, as far as their cell towers? i dropped Cingular several years ago, because I could never get good reception here at my house. I switched to AT&T and problem was solved. Never had a dropped connection or interference issues. Now that Cingular took over, I am having the same issues that I had before I switched to AT&T.
You probably have the GSM phone though attwireless right? Well now they are working off the same towers so when you are travelling through the city som times it will say att and some times it will switch to cingular. You are suppose to get better reseption this way but its not workin i think i kno why but itll take me a little while to explain and you'll have to kno a little about the other frequency which is TDMA.
Oh great, I thought I was the only....maybe I was overreacting. Now, maybe I'm not. Maybe its time I just give ATT/Cing the duece......
Yep.....exactly 11 months, maybe a few days or weeks over that. That's what ATT is offering me right now. Would any of you consider the LG L1150? Does LG make good phones?
DO NOT i repeat DO NOT get a LG phone though at&t. The ones thought verizon are pretty good but at&ts are very cheaply made thats why they cost so less for sucha good phone.
Ahh....it was too good to be true. What about the Smasung e316? Camera, Twin color displays, inside display is rather large.....that looks cool, especially when I download my free graphics of Vida Guerra to put as my desktop.
i havnt used it yet but iv only heard good things about it. My personal fav. flip phones have allways been samsung, they just look better and work better, IMO.
Does the same problems that plague the LG's also apply to the Sony Ericsson T637? That looks like another "too good to be true".....
Sony Ericsons are BADASS phones when it comes to features but when it comes to reseption it SUCKS ASS lol I kno you allready have a Nokia but it is the #1 brand out in the market now & if u decide to wait a little while they are going to launch there new first of a kind flip phone. Nokia NEVER makes flip phones so this will be there frist my T-mobile rep was tellin me about it.
