So this afternoon after getting back from the gym (and spraining my ankle, nonetheless) I took my phone out of my gym bag and noticed that a small amount of condensation from my gym bottle must've got onto my phone. The LCD screen looks kinda sketchy now and once the phone boots up it turns off (because of the lcd screen I assume). Has anyone else had a similar issue to this? I'm gonna lay the phone out and hope the water dries and it works again, but I'm skeptical. I'm gonna try to bring it to the Verizon store to be serviced tomorrow if it still isn't working.

I hope it ends up working...this will be the 2nd phone I've gone through since I got back to school. :(

And if your phone does get messed up and you need a new one, then you can go your carrier, tell them your story and pretend that you have to cancel your account because you can't afford a new phone. Since a recurring account is more important to them than a few bucks on a phone, they will likely credit your account for something in order to defray any new phone costs. This happened to my dad and he was able to get $70 credited to his account. It wasn't enough to pay for a new phone but it was pretty close.

ok do this, sign up for the insurance
    ok

then a week later claim it
then cancel the insurance, paying for only one month ;)

That leaves him without a phone for 1 week. Also a lot of companies now expect you to take it into a branch store to check it out before giving you the insurance over the phone if you have had the phone for a while becauase they know people do this.

Also most of the time the deductable you have to pay is anywhere from 30-50 dollars anyways.

oh yes! insurance fraud. now i know why mine went up from 35.00 to a 50.00 deductable.

Lockline will decline coverage for a number if you attempt it and get caught.

I had my phone in my pocket and got rained on very heavily one time.

My phone went on the fritz.

Then I used a blow dryer on it for about 15 minutes, worked like new afterwards.
