Has anybody been watching this? I thought it started in November but apparantly it's been on for at least one or two episodes. From what I've seen so far, it is hilarious. That golf anouncer sketch sucked though. Reverend Chef was great, that lunch lady cracked me up as in the commercials. What do you guys think about this show?
how about movies? barbershop did 'ok' at the box office right? unless you are kidding, how can you recommend someone's career direction based on one episode of a TV show?
I think the show is kinda funny. Some parts are better than others, but that's the way it goes in TV. Even SNL has some lame parts.
Cedric the Entertainer is flat out hilarious. I don't give a flip how his tv shows do, but I'll never get tired of watching the Kings of Comedy. Steve Harvey is freakin' comedic genius and so is Cedric.
That reminds me, I should rent "Kings of Comedy." I've only seen it four times, and it's been awhile. I really like Cedric the Entertainer, but Bernie Mac's standup kills me. I'd never laughed so hard in my life. I remember recommending the movie to my friend---let's call her "Snowflake." And shall we say Snowflake liked Bernie least of the four because she couldn't understand a word he says? Ah, well. Back on topic: Cedric says he felt a little uncomfortable saying some of his lines in "Barbershop" ("O.J. did it; Rodney King deserved to have his a$$ dragged out of a Hyundai and get his a$$ beat; and Rosa Parks didn't do nothing but sit her tired butt down on the bus"). His character was just basically the black counterpart to Bill Reilly or O'Reilly or whatever his name is: a firestarter. And Cedric did a good job.
