Here is CD's analysis of Malick Badiane taken from a quote in the Chronicle. Through ESP I was able to tap into his real thoughts on this. CD said: "It took us a while to get up to the plate this year, but I think we wound up with a real fortunate pick," CD thinking: We had nothing to work with. We are scraping the bottom of the barrel and lookie what we found. I'm not a miracle worker. Jeez... CD said: "Malick is very raw. He's only played one year of pro basketball." CD thinking: We placed a baseball, soccer ball, tennis ball, and basketball in front of Malick and 5/10 times he picked the orange one. CD said: "But he's very athletic, he runs the floor well, he can rebound and shot-block, and his offense is coming along real well." CD thinking: Actually he chases anything that moves. If it darts he will just run like mad to try and catch it. Putting the ball in the basket is a entirely new concept for him. CD said: "We feel that he has a tremendous upside." CD thinking: Its hard not to improve from the 44th pick. Maybe with a year or two of development he would have been the 40th pick in the draft. I'm not a hater, just though it is funny... Cheers, wea
We would not have been in that situation if we would have kept Eduardo Najara instead of sending him to Dallas for Dan Langhei - We have let some good people go and have taken chances that have hit rock bottom over the past couple drafts - Hopefully this one will work out for us.
I'm going to put birdseed on my eyelids and have parakeets peck my eyes out if I have to read one more time about Langhi and Nahahahara. j
