I got some video games (said like Hank Hill), this past Christmas at a friend's get-together.

I got Madden 2001, Triple Play, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2001, Need For Speed: Porsche Unleashed, and Sim City 3000 Unlimited.

I've only installed Madden, Sim City, and Need for Speed. I ended up uninstalling Sim City, because it took up too much HD space. I ended up uninstalling the Need for Speed, because I couldn't get the 3D.exe thing to run. I have opened Madden, and toyed around with it, but there's a big blacked out square right in the center of the screen, which totally makes playing a game a nightmare.

None of the games are copies. They were in a "pack" and all have a serial number you have to enter as you install it, which I did.

I was wondering if anyone had a similar problem, or knew of a way to fix it.

i don't play games but Office Depot has NBA Live 2001 for the PC for $4.50

it is any good? (and more importantly, is Matt Maloney in it?)

Although a new computer would be a good thing, I don't think it has much to do with this particular issue.

I have been running, for over 2 weeks now, Baldur's Gate, which is a gi-normous AD&D game at 550 MBs on the hard drive, and FIVE accompanying CDs, which you insert at different points during the game.

So, it's not necessarily games that are messing up, just these particular games that I got for Christmas.

Try re-installing your video drivers, and DirectX.

    You mean vid-e-ah games? :)

outlaw, Live 2001 is a pretty good game. I don't know about Maloney on the game though.
