I was also listening to CD on 610 around 8:30am and Granato asked CD about EG.

CD said that EG has been on an off-season workout with one of their assistant coaches (Melvin? I forgot the name) and he has been working on adding muscle (weight), working on his footwork in the middle and shooting midrange shots off the dribble so that he wouldn't shoot 3s anymore. They are also working on his shots, to put more "air or arch" on his shots, because he shoots line drives.

CD also mentioned that he's getting a lot of calls from other GMs asking about EG, but they like what they're seeing with EG this off-season. So, I'm guessing EG will be back next season.

On Cato, John McClain said "He's the most expensive sub, since Red October".

Glad to hear it because if he develops an automatic mid range jumper, then he will be an above average PF which is all we need.

All I think he really needs to help us is a hook shot to compliment his fadeaway.

I LOVE EG's game, I just wish he would get a little stronger and up his FG% a bit. And he would be great.

To me it's all about weight/muscle with Eddie. If I hear that he's added 10-15 lbs of muscle, I'm ecstatic. Until then, it's just the usual promise...

If he had gained 10-15 lbs. each time we've heard that he's gained 10-15 lbs. he'd weigh like 400 lbs. now! :D

Until I SEE that he's gained 10-15 lbs, I will assume that the reports are same as usual.

Don't make EG angry. You wouldn't like EG when he's angry. Oh wait, yes we would.

I hope you are joking.......his game is pure trash. He gives you nothing outside of some weakside defense. He has shown no offensive skills......unless you consider jacking up the ball from wherever you receive it no matter where you get it good.

EG should concentrate on adding some heart and brain this offseason, then the muscle would come a lot easier.

One thing to remember is that 15 pounds of muscle is the most you can add in a year, unless you are using juice. Additionally, b-ball players are not the most dedicated weight lifters.

How long has the season been over for the non playoff teams? Not that long, right? If he has improved that much, that would be amazing!

Im very doubtful that he has, but it would be good if he had done it.

Im not sure that Eddie has the heart to be anything more than Chucky Brown, Im not even sure he is as good as Robert Horry was.

It's been two and a half, almost three months...so it's not that shocking if true.

Remember, GM's love to hype players before trading/in order to trade them. Not that we will, necessarily. But don't be surprised. I mean, CD's basically announcing, "Hey teams, he's really working on his mid-range jumper! Suppertime! Come and get it!"

I'm kinda glad teams are calling. At least we have an idea that Cat and EG both have value on the market, in case we want to (and we do) upgrade the roster.

Eddie needs as much as help as he can get. He can still yet become a special player for the Rockets. He just has to get past this mental block he created for himself after his break out month 2 years back. He played amazing for about a month, and then he just stopped once KT came back from his injuries.

Once he's past that, he can start hitting those easy baskets that Yao and Steve can give him.
