Okay this is what I got out of it... Said they've been trying to get Snyder since last year. Thinks he's a great aquisition. Says they hope to bring little Lucas on Board. Says they visited Vspan 4 times this year and believe he is ready to contribute in the rotation now and they will go over to the World games in Japan where he is playing and try to bring him over this year. Says they still have some trade avenues. He said they are not finish. No real veteran players to bring in like Miami did last year. They still have all their money with the exception of the 1.6 TE. He said they don't want to bring in any player just because they have money. And he thinks when it's all said and done the fans are going to like this team. That's the gist of it.
Is it just me or does CD have a tendency to persistently try to go after the same players over a long period of time... Mike James, Shane Battier, now Snyder. I predict next time Rockets get somebody CD will say something to the effect of "We've been trying to get our hands on him since he was in elementary school"
This is GREAT news. It answers all our questions right now. Hopefully we secure JLIII, land Marcus Banks and FLip or some other competent SG, and we'll be pretty much said. Nice job on Snyder, CD. I still doubt Vspan, but he'll be a pleasant surprise
vspan or marcus banks is the next acquisition. and i have a feeling a PF trade is in the works. please finish the team up so they can get to practice. we got a lot of ground to make up.
he's a me first guy who wanted a trade kicker but his +/- is +6 but only in 15min a game so we don't know how its going to translate, but he does all the intangible.
VSpan is probably gonna come over... after all, CD has pursued him for a long time. Marcus Banks? Has CD been watching Marcus Bank films since his rookie year? If not, he's only a decoy, not a real plan. The Rockets probably started their recruitment of Jon Barry back when news broke that Rick Barry's wife was pregnant.
Hopefully he was kidding, but interseting VSPAN might me comin over. From what I heard he sound like Ginnobli. Would he play under Van Gundy? Is he a shooting guard or point guard?

I would like to finally see VSpan in a uni, he makes as much sense as any of the other backup comboguards we're looking at and now we have the money to do something.
He did say something about a rebounder but I am not sure what, as I was trying to find a pen. Maybe someone else remembers. Carl tried to put him on the spot by saying what are you going to do this off season with no money and a team that needs help. ANd CD said We still have all are money. But don't forget this team was injured. In all his life he never saw a team as injured and we still have Yao ,Tmac, Mutombo, Head, Howard and alston. And we have a back court with Snyder and Rafer and Luther and possibly Lucas and we could be very competitive with that team we have now. And we have have done some work this summer. We've added Battier and Novak and now Snyder and Little Lucas could join. And they are not finish, a trade is still possible still and that they would definitely try to get VSPAN.
