CD should just cut the crap and hire JVG. So we can start talking trades and draft again.

My reasoning is that JVG got more mileage out of less talented players and MD couldn't not win it all with the team he had. He deserved to get fired by Portland.

I second this suggestion. Can we just hire Van Gundy already.

do we know when JVG is coming into town for the 2nd interview?

Make an offer and let's stop the carousel.

Can we have a coup and get Les out of here and then can CD as well?

Yeah, I second this. Stop wasting time, now!
But the problem is, Les and CD might think that JVG ask too much $ ? So they just hesitate (like LB case).
Crappy mentality. This is not the time to save money. How much money Rox has already wasted on crappy players like Moochie, etc? And now when Rox really need to spend money, they hesitate? Ridiculous....

Money shouldn't be the deciding factor, Les if you want a "big time and big name" head coach you have to pay big time money, period.
If Les wants to pay less money then hire a coach with no experiance such as Elie, A. Johnson, or Mike Woodson.

Have you ever considered the possibility that this is all a conspiracy by the Rockets management to get rid of CC.net?

    1. We all know for a fact that CC.net posters always bash the Rockets managements, coaches, and players, even the mascot. (Only the power dancers are lucky enough to avoid being bashed.) Let's face it, they hate us to the core.

    2. We also know for a fact that ClutchCity is by far the more superior Rockets site than Rockets.com. Do you really believe that they like the competition we are posing against them?

    3. They, therefore, intentionally prolong the hiring process. In the mean time, they make some seemingly bad blunders, knowing full well that this board will be swarmed by overreacting posters to vent, discuss, argue, and rant about every single aspect about every single candidate (past and present, possible and impossible, realistic and pipedreamed).

    4. They are counting on the sheer volume of this posting frenzy will bring down CC.net's server once for all. And we are on the brink of just letting that happen.

Did I mention that drafting Yao last year was phase 1 of the grand scheme to take down CC.net?
