...please do me these favors: 1) Keep Cat! He is showing maturity and poise (that you cannot teach). Beside the fact that he and Francis are best friends they play well together. Mobes is a perfect sixth man for the Rox. 2) Make some noise on the trade front, we have players that are tradeable (Walt, TMass, Drew, Thomas). Thomas is not the "answer" at the four, he will be solid but not as good as Othella. We need help at the three badly (Maggette?) 3) If we can't get a good three in the draft, sign Rashard Lewis (he should be here anyway). Lewis is an upgrade from anything we have at the 3. He is a big, athletic guy who LIVES IN HOUSTON! 4) Lastly, talk your boss out of wanting to leave. The rockets are the only champions Houston has had and Biggio and Bags just can't hit in the postseason!
Have to disagree on one thing here UT. Kenny Thomas shows every sign of being as good or better than Othella at the 4. It's early yet but if he develops as Othella did he will get much better.
that's the same thing that caught my eye JT. Othella, with all due respect, seemed to have a 5 foot range (though he could pull down the boards at will). Kenny can mix it up; now if he can bang it up depends on his effort in the gym.
Kenny is better than Othella, IMO. He has move. Othella has a more appropriate body for the 4, but Kenny passes and shoots better. Kenny can also pull out his man, since he shoots occasional 3's. UT Baller, you're right on, Biggio and Bag just won't get us a Champ any time soon. We hope for the Rox!!!
Maybe because of his age Freak? That's the only thing I can think of. I really think that the Wizard's play of late as been EXACTLY what the Rockets were expecting. He's hitting his threes, playing overall good offense, and, most importantly, playing much better than usual defense. That said, I would love to get Lewis, but I wouldn't go as far to say that he's better than Williams...right now.
