In the past, Nero OEM bundles only worked with particular brands of drives. If they made it for a Lite-on drive, it only worked with a Lite-on drive. I'm not sure if that is still the case or if it is with this particular bundle. Also, there are some features that sometimes are disabled in the copies. The one you linked to seems to have some disabled features... look at the red asterisk.

Get Nero, my frend has it and its the best. I tried Window Media Player to burn some cds and the quality of the playback sucked really bad and the Nero sounded perfect.

    Thanks Doc! Very helpful.

I'm not using it for major stuff like that. Just burning music and saving digital camera photo/video files.

How can I tell if the drives are compatable?

I don't know anything about that company, but I'd call and ask. To be honest, I'd just buy the full blown version. I know it's more expensive, but you won't have to worry about drives, disabled functionality, etc.

I think CDBurnerXP Pro is worth a shot. It's free. If it doesn't work for you, then I'd go with Nero. I have Nero 6.6 too, and it's a great program, but CDBurnerXP Pro would probably be more than enough for most people.
