    Recap...

CD talked about the Mike James trade, and he said the Rockets have been at it for some time to try and pick up MJ.

Rich praised CD for the trades/acquisitions this season so far (including the T-Mac trade) and saying CD had a very good year.

CD said that learning how to win in this league takes time, and I think JVG and his staff are getting the team there. And that the Rockets are one of the few teams who have a winning road record.

He said he is proud of the comeback the team made last night, but that the elite teams learn to pull these games out.

Regarding getting an enforcer of a PF at the 4 spot to help the Rockets rebound/defend, CD said that everyone looks to toughen up their frontlines and rebound better etc., but that this might get better if Yao can stay on the court for more than 31 minutes a night, and there is nothing they can do about it right now since the trade deadline has passed.

He praised Yao's performance overall this season, and said that if Yao can stay 37-38 minutes a game on the court, "we would be more proud of him", then paused and added "as we are now";)

He commented on the fact that Yao barely gets any down-time for the past few years, saying that when compared to Hakeem, Hakeem used his down-time every off season to add a new weapon to his arsenal, and that THIS is why a down time in the off season is important in Yao's development.

Then he went on to talk breifly about the Tux and Tennies event tonight.

    That is all I got

    Thanks tigermission.

Too bad we couldn't find a PF, but it makes sense that 20 other teams in the league want to bulk up too.

wouldn't mind Davis... no one has signed him yet, have they?

There was no way we were going to be able to find ALL the pieces for this team during the season. The fact we were able to add Barry/Wesley and James is amazing. In fact by adding James paired with Sura we have pretty much locked down our PG situation before the offseason which to me is huge.

Now in the offseason we can focus completely on getting that athletic PF and perhaps adding some more young athletic players to our bench depth.

So true this team has made so much progress, from where we started, on the personnel front, we should have one goal in the off season and that is a PF
