    Is anyone interested in Kukoc?

All I want is a shooting guard, I really don't care to give up more than Kukoc and a draft pick for a SG, anyone interested?

I go away for a few hours and people are bashing my trade offers.

It wasnt my intention to bash your proposal, my only thought was to another idea on the table that in my opinion is as good

Your pick probably won't be that high because you're playing in the weak ass east. Look at the standings in your division, you're 7-1 and the next best team is 4-3.

That's true. I do play in the east. But the fact remains that I had a 55-27 record last season, and the majority thinks I will not be as good this year. You even predicted me to get the 7th seed in the east. (I do not agree, but that was your prediction not mine) On the other hand you did go 72-10 with the majority thinking you will be as strong this year. I think me getting a pick that is several picks higher than yours is just following general predictions. Last year a 55-27 record equaled a 9th pick, while you with 72-10 had the 16th. And in the first round that could mean a lot. Also the records you are talking about are pre-season in which many have played their bench, and you can not know if the rest have had equal quality of opponents. I actually believe Nets (current 8th seed in the preseason) will compete with me for the Atlantic title this year). I know I've also rested my starters from time to time, but I do believe that the pre-season record only shows that my trades this season was for depth and not stars/starters so when my bench is up against an other teams bench I would be favorite to win, but with the starters back this will change.

Patterson outproduces Miles because Miles is a small forward. I have him as a backup SG, Cat told me that since he is a SF, the sim tends to not give as many minutes as a normal backup SG gets.

Patterson is also a SF, but I have him playing his position, that's true. But the minutes part of the arguement doesnt fly. Both have played 15 minutes in preseason, and Patterson with his 10/3 outproduces Miles with 3/1.

Also if you look at the Mighty Marcus Camby's numbers last season for vj23k's team, he's got 10.8 pts, 8.2 reb, 2.15 blocks, 30 min, Lafrentz had 12.1 pts, 7.7 reb, 1.93 blocks, 29 minutes.

To say Camby is better than Lafrentz is a joke, Lafrentz has great range AND he provides about as much defense and rebounds as Camby.

I would say they are pretty even, but I was comparing the full package, and not only player to player. Camby also offer other qualities than LaFrentz. LaFrentz score more, while Camby gets more rebounds and blocks. (Don't know LaFrentz Blocks this preseason, but as Cat hasn't mentioned them they surely are lower than Camby)

Miles has a ton more upside than "No Shot" Patterson, and I'm also throwing in Vaughn, who yes, is on the IR for my team, but in real life he is a solid backup PG, and I'm sure if given minutes, won't fall on his face during the game.

I'm not saying that Patterson will be better than Miles in 2 or 3 seasons. I say "No Shot" Patterson outproduces Miles this year, and that my higher pick should give him the future. Funny how "No Shot" Patterson have 3 more points than Miles so far in the preseason. About Vaughn, he was not included in your offer, but if you have added him now thats another deal.

The rookie pick won't be extremely high, but with rookie picks you never know who you could steal that can produce great numbers in the real life NBA.

Same as for Vaughn - when did rookie picks enter your offer?

    Ages
    Patterson - 25
    Miles - 19

    Camby - 27
    LaFrentz - 25

My guys also have more years to get better than your players.

2 or 3 years from now, I assure you Patterson will be nowhere near Darius Miles.

This is where my higher picks steps in an even the future out while I IMHO offer a bit more this year.

But I agree - they are very simular proposals. My idea was not dogging your proposal, it was putting something else on the table.

I will not go for this for 2 reasons. I take on more players (this year) than I give out, and I do not like giving up Swift in a deal like this. Also I'm leaning towards not dealing Payton.

"Same as for Vaughn - when did rookie picks enter your offer?"

That's the deal Crisco and I have on the table.

Honestly after typing up that long answer to why my package is better than yours, I'm starting to rethink doing the deal. My impatience is getting the best of me, and I'm trying to win now when I can just keep my young pieces and stay patient with my teenagers (Lewis and Miles) developing into superstars.

I'm starting to think about just leaving my young guys alone and just trying to work a deal to get me a decent shooting guard for toni kukoc. I know someone out there would be interested in Kukoc, *cough* VOR *cough*...

It was a proposal for Raven.

I'm still open for that Bibby offer, I'm just testing my team during the preseason before I do any trade. If you do decide that you want to trade now, and get to an agreement with another team let me know - and then I can see if I can't pull the trigger, or adjust my offer some to get it done.

Well then we were talking about different deals. [IMG] I was comparing offers made for Raven. And as you see, the deal for crisco don't include a 1st rounder. [IMG]

So you didn't make an offer to Crisco?

Damn, I guess I don't have to worry about fighting over Sprewell then...

the deal on the table is

    Bibby + rookie pick

    for Sprewell

Heath or BGM, I would prefer to make a deal sometime soon, like this weekend maybe. If not then oh well. [IMG] I probably won't be back till late afternoon or maybe nightime tonite.

Hey VOR, would you be interested in-

    Pippen, A. Davis, Feick

for Marshall, D. Davis, Wright, and your 2nd rounder or rookie pick?

    Crisco

Is there anyway I could get a draft pick out of you in this deal?

Lafrentz + Miles + Vaughn + Ostertag + rookie pick

    for

    Spree + Brian Grant + 2nd rounder?

Ok no problem. If you change your mind about Payton then let me know. I would be willing to give up some draft picks instead of some players. I just didn't think you were intrested in picks.

For now, I am set at the guard spots with Brandon, Dickerson, Billups, Avery, T-Mac, and some versatile SF's.

    For Nomar's squad he got 14, 11, and 3.

His numbers fell because he played next to Wally and T-Mac who took alot of the rebounding and defensive load.

I think you're selling Camby a little short here. He is probably the guy that got my team going(Brand was a downgrade from KG, Dickerson produced pretty well, but not enough to make me a better team than I was).

might be able to get a 2nd rounder if the offer is sweet enough, but I wouldn't do this deal.

What do you mean by "sweet enough"?

Who would you want added for that 2nd round pick?

BGM, I'm not really sure what would sweeten the deal enough to include my 2nd rounder. I'll think about it, but I doubt I'll give it up.

    DVau how about Aaron Willams?

he scored 7 points, 4.5 rebounds in 17 minutes.
