Every team in the league submits 2 starters from their team to the draft pool. All GMs can then draft from this pool of submitted players and computer team leftovers in the 2 round regular draft being held soon. This list is not final as GMs can still change their submitted players but it will give you a clue of what talent is available. Draftlist removed as Cat has a more updated version of this list further down in this list - and also in a new and better draft thread. I've changed my mind about who I'm putting up for the draft...again, hehe. Instead of D. Marshall, I want Jim Jackson to be left unprotected. So that means Jim Jackson and Jason Williams are now in the draft. ------------------
Nomar, Whom? I don't see just one guy that stands out. ------------------ Never Underestimate the Heart of a Champion
I dont either, i just wanted to see what other people thought. ------------------ The next time I have meat and mashed potatoes, I think I'll put a very large blob of potatoes on my plate with just a little piece of meat. And if someone asks me why i didn't get more meat, ill just say, "Oh, you mean this?" and pull out a big piece of meat from inside the blob of potatoes, where ive hidden it. Good magic trick, huh?
The Bucks (who aren't here) will submit Tim Thomas and Theo Ratliff to the draft, and of course keep the 3 man nucleus of Cassell, Allen, and Robinson. ------------------ President of the Mo Taylor, Jason Collier, and draft Richard Jefferson fan club! I wish to edit my submissions. Instead of Eric Williams, I would give up Byrant Stith. ------------------ Founder and President of the Houston Homers Club(HHC) - Are you a homer? Join now! The Rockets will be NBA champions. Believe.
Oh, and two more players will be added into the draft that were cut by the Raptors (if you want to reclaim them then this is the last chance): Keon Clark and Chris Childs. Want them back KBM? I guess add keon clark back to my roster. You can put childs in the draft. Thanks CAT for the information. I forgot that I let them go. ------------------ I am an invisible man.
Cat, could you scan over the computer teams and add any players putting up good numbers into the draft list(Not a whole lot, just anyone who stands out)? Will Penny and Ilgauskas be added if there are no new GMs? damn you kbm for putting in Oakley. ------------------ snap crackle pop
Crisco, I'll just keep Penny and Ilgauskas on their current teams if no one else joins. I want to keep injured players as incentives to help possible new GMs turn it around. Ok Cat, quick question after I traded away a starter to VOR that leaves me with R. Lewis as my starting SF. He and Miles are pretty much the same type of player and produce the same numbers. Can I put Lewis into the draft and protect Jim Jackson? ------------------
BGM, No you still need to put Jackson in the draft. I know Lewis now would be a starter for you, but the point is for each team to give two of their starters that made them a success or failure last year. And since Lewis didn't ever start for you last year, I really don't want him in the draft as a submission from your team. ------------------ President of the Mo Taylor, Jason Collier, and draft Richard Jefferson fan club! Cat If KBM can put up Oakley can I put up Joe Smith instead of Ewing since he started for more than Half of the season? CK
the Cat- in my humble opinion, i think the 2 starters from each team should come from the 5 people each owner would start in the Finals. ex. even though Oakley started for a while, he wouldnt be in KBM's starting 5 in a playoff game. Too many people could take advantage of that and abuse the system. Teams in the East could start a bench player for 25 games, still make the playoffs, do well in the playoffs, and could sacrifice the bench guy. Totally unfair. The purpose of the draft is to balance the teams. bring on the flames.
Next season I hope we'll have to put up 3 players for the draft. When we do that, then you can't hide any stars. Teams in the east suck. The difference in talent between a Charles Oakley and an Antonio Davis isn't going to make or break this draft. Same thing for the difference between a Ewing and a Joe Smith. Next season's draft is when things will shake up IF we have to give up 3 starters which I hope will happen. ------------------
Nomar, It really wasn't me that started this controversy. I did it because VOR had six players to chose from. Finley, Kidd, Dice, Kukoc, Fortson, and miles. I am not trying to cheat the game. In a way, I agree with both of you, but if VOR gets to chose between six players than so do I. ------------------ I am an invisible man.
Thats cool. And plus, there is a whole buncha diff between A. Davis and C. Oak. ------------------ The next time I have meat and mashed potatoes, I think I'll put a very large blob of potatoes on my plate with just a little piece of meat. After that point, if you have not submitted two starters, I will submit two for you. I want to give everyone a day before the draft to trade picks, etc. when they know who's in the draft. The draft will take place at 9 p.m. Central Tuesday night in the Clutchcity.net chat. If you are unable to attend, send me an email at SlamDuncan2121@yahoo.com with a player list, or statement in general on who you want me to pick for you. As of right now, I still need a draft list (2 starters) from the Knicks, and Spurs need to tell me whether to submit Reggie Miller or Derek Anderson from their team. ------------------ President of the Mo Taylor, Jason Collier, and draft Richard Jefferson fan club! The Cat, Can I put Charles Oakley in the draft instead of Antonio Davis? I played Charles Oakley at the PF positon for at least 25 games when I was playing Davis as my six man. ------------------ I am an invisible man.
