    Howdy all,
I am sure if you know basketball, you know Hoop-it-Up, the outdoor, three on three, cut throat basketball tournament that the NBA and several other major companies sponsor. Well, I had a crazy idea.....why don't we get a team or two together to play in the Dallas and Houston tourneys?? The upcoming CC.NET pick up game will be a good opportunity to see what type of talents we have. Then if we could somehow convince Clutchcity.net to sponsor the team......

Just think of it...CC.NET team out there, advertising, pretty jerseys with the website name all over it.....nicknames on the back?? What do ya say Clutch? It is really pretty inexpensive to play in.

That is a good idea, but there is no way I could do something like that. Those days are in the past.

HOOP-T, you sure are getting excited about this game (first the competing against oter sites, now the Hoop-it-up). First, we need to play.

    Cool! I'll be the coach!

Rimbaud, you're cut. There's no room for that kind of attitude on this team.

"Now for the easiest part of any coach's job... the cuts. Now I wasn't able to cut everyone I wanted to, but I did cut a lot of you. Wendell, you're cut. Janie, cut. All the rest of you made it. Except for you, you, and you."

    LOL, Kagy!

Sounds like fun...and competitive! I'm getting hyped up and have actually been practicing a bit with my boys. The hustle is still there, but I don't quite have my legs back in shape. I'll be ready to play hard!

Be ready to sweat and play your asses off!

I hope you did not take my post to be too negative. I think it is a great idea, I was just trying to joke a bit.
    BK:
You can't cut me. I already said that I could not play because I could not hold up for that much play time. Knowing how to avoid further injury is a winning attitude!
But if you want to elevate yourself based on abusing your power and cutting people you don't like, that is fine. I am just another in the long line of the oppressed.

But, seriously, that was a funny Simpsons excerpt - I remember when it originally aired.

I could still school you one-on-one.

I want guys on my team who are willing to run through a brick wall in order to win!!!

    Idiots, in other words.

That's why I cut you, Rimbaud.

And you cannot school me. I cheat. I play dirty. I insult people's mothers and then spit in their eyes. I spike their Gatorade with LSD. I arrange to have people call them on their cell phones right before game point, claiming to be a police officer, saying their kids have been run over by a steam engine.

You are no match for me.

    1) RM95: that one's in my top ten.

You ruined our season, you ruiner! PS My sister likes you!

Janie, one of the purple-haired girls.

    2) Hoop-T, I think it's a very good idea. You only need three players, right? I'm sure you can scrounge that up on this BBS.

Now if this were, say, a different Rocket site, maybe not. Three people might be hard to come by.

He got his multiple-personality problem fixed?

Ned: Ralph, you'll be on special teams.

Maybe this was a bad idea.....

The Dallas tourney is in late June I think...I have an entry form and will have to look. You cna have a team of three and one sub....so four total.

If there is serious interest, we would need to get on the ball. Kagy, go to Wal-Mart and get your whistle, red sweater, and whip. We need to practice.

Kagy, that's one of the best Simpson episodes.

Did you notice, Rod and Todd's numbers? One was 6 and the other was 66, and when they stood together, they were...

    You get it!

I'm game for the Dallas tourney, I live in OKC but it wouldn't be too much of a problem..

I played in Hoop it up when I was 12 and actually I didnt' have that bad of an experience. I scored 14 points in the first game (which my friend lost for us) and the rest of the time I kinda was the only person on the team to score. Oh well it was fun though.

I'm not too tall but i'm really really fast
I can shoot from anywhere and pass real well. I played varsity for my high school. The only problem would be that if I was to play on a team I might not fit in one of your divisions cause i'm only 15.

just mail me if you need an extra man

Dude, I'm already there. [IMG] I'm wearing a tie. I will have a Budweiser in my hand at 5:00. And I walk around saying "KA PA YA" over and over again. People think I'm weird. Well, they can just kapaya my ass. There's nothing weird about kapaya. Kapaya makes the kapaya go around. Like the Beatles said, "Money can't buy me kapaya".

    Any questions?
