Kinda knew this was going to happen...Love Roy as an athlete but it helps us rise in the standing.... well hopefully
basically zero. i think he needs to re-invent his game into a role player if he wants to still be an impact player
LOL, dude you are screwed big time! Evans said if he had another flare up in his foot, he would consider season ending surgery.
PLZZZZZZZ PLZZZZZZZ PLZZZZZZZ shut him down and let the blazers fail to reach the playoffs@@@@@!@!@!@!@!@
Expected this when they announced he would "miss the next 3 games". Roy is done. He and the Blazers should agree on a buyout to ensure Roy can walk the rest of his life without knee-replacement surgery and the Blazers can save some money.
One thing about Roy's game is that he does not depend too much on his athleticism. He was never a freakish athlete anyway. Of course, he wont be back to his oldself, but I dont think his status will diminish as bad as Francis'. If he learns to play like Sam Cassel did, he will be decent for the rest of his career, IMO.
If I was Roy, I wouldn't agree to a buyout. IMHO, most people that have buyouts do so thinking that they can get a contract elsewhere. Roy, however, will never receive a contract anywhere close to his current one. He'll follow the same path as Yao. Probably 20 games a season until his contract is over.
If Roy wants to honor the terms of his contract and get knee replacement surgery in short order, that's his decision. Otherwise, he should make a deal with the Blazers. Quality of life after basketball is an issue here, not just money. NFL players retire early because of concussions. I think Roy should retire for a similar reason.
i heard he has little to no cartilage in his knees. i'm definitely not a doctor but that sounds bad. and painful
