I will be very upset if the deal is CENTERED around Tyrus Thomas. The guy is a highlight reel but he is erratic, and has a low basketball IQ. If you are going to give up McGrady's expiring contract, do it for someone thats worth it that can impact the game. That draft day deal between the Blazers and the Bulls that swapped Aldrige for Thomas was about as bad as the 2010 Slam Dunk Contest

Kelvin Cato -> Stromile Swift -> Tyrus Thomas

No thanks. The Rockets don't need these 'jump out the gym' type players.

He'd just add to our PF glut.

i dont think there's anything to be upset about, unless tmac isn't traded at all...but thomas could turn out to be a solid pick up at less than 5 mill this year...and i believe he expires this summer anyway....any other year maybe cook + dorsey gets it done, but i think we'll be outbid.

Agree. Dont trade for a trade

Better keep TMac for the expiring and have the flexibility in this summer

We could rethink everything in this coming summer. Our goal is not only for a better team, but for the championship for years to come

    Go Rox

I wouldn't mind Thomas or salmons, they both would help in the teams most weakest areas, but no to miller, deng, and hinrich they are overpaid and just old.

    I like Thomas.

He is a little undisiplined but has real NBA talent and tools.

He'd be great to replace Scola or an asset next year.

Only players worth while on the Bulls are D.Rose and Noah. Both of whom are out of the question. PASS.

We don't need Tyrus ...he's just another big guy..we have plenty of that in Scola and Landry...we need a decent perimeter guard because Ariza is not good enough. Shane is not an offensive player.

He's also an expiring if we choose not to give him a qualifying offer.

Just buy McGrady's contact out and be done with it, pass on Thomas.

Usually there's a reason a team dumps a young talent. Tyrus Thomas let me introduce you to your ceiling.

    Do not want.

Overwhelming no's(can't really argue) but do you think this is all that we're left with? Not all that we're left with in terms of Chicago being the only team left to trade with(not imo anyway) but say a guy like Thomas is the best we can do?

Deng intrigues me... Deng and a first rounder + Miller for TMac + cook + 2nd rounder?

    Three point shooting.

That's what we need in the Adelman system, and we don't need another 3 who can't shoot a three.

Intriguing deal but then have a glut of SFs. Deng, Ariza, Battier, Budinger. Battier or Budinger become odd man out imo.

Maybe Chicago can trade us Wade when they get him because all i see them offering is their left over trash.
