    I need something clarified.

    CBA FAQ #68:

A sign-and-trade deal can be made even with players that have been renounced. However, a sign-and-trade deal cannot be made when the player was signed using the Mid-Level, $1 Million or Disabled Player exception. Sign-and-trade deals are only allowed if the contract is for three years or longer.

According to this statement, we could renounce Shandon & resign him to the mid-level as long as we stay within the cap requirements needed to keep our exceptions. It also states that we could not do a sign & trade with him, if we resign him, using the mid-level. It then follows that statement up with the fact that sign & trades have to be for 3 years or longer.

The point that I need clarified is: If we renounce Shandon & resign him to the mid-level, can we trade him, as long as we make the contract for 3 or more years or does it mean that under no circumstances, can we use the mid-level & include him in a sign & trade afterwards? You're help on this is most appreciated.

You can't do a sign-and-trade using the mid-level exception. No way, no how.
