Celtics won 14 straight.. Can they do it? Obviously I'm referring to the 22 game win streak. Do you think they can match it? How many wins will they get?
Here's their upcoming schedule: @ Utah @ Atlanta Chicago New York Philadelphia @ LA Lakers @ Golden State @ Sacramento
Very doubtful the Cavs win 22 in a row. Complacency, lack of focus and bad shooting will sink them against a hot shooting team.
Celtics have won 14 in a row. Man, that would be a bummer for Rockets fans if the Celtics and Cavs take their streaks to 22 games.
The Lakers, Celtics and Cavs off to a good start...someone gave them easy schedules for the start of the season is my first reaction. Of course I could be way off, why would TV execs and the NBA want those 3 to a good start?
Okay I think I'll play Celtics homer for a sec. I'm not sure the Celtics schedule has been that easy. They've played six/seven back-to-backs so far, and played the most games in November of any team. They did get to play OKC, Min., Phi and some other cupcake teams but they also have wins against the Cavs, Magic, Rockets, Blazers, Hornets, Pistons (twice), etc. They haven't been completely tested yet but I think they've managed wins against solid teams. The Cavs last eleven games, btw: Philly Philly Toronto Bobcats Pacers Knicks Bucks Warriors Thunder Knicks Hawks They have yet to beat a >.500 team at full strength, I think. Not saying their streak isn't impressive and that you can't build momentum by playing bad teams, but ESPN needs to put all this into perspective.
15th at Utah. Got to say it but Jazzholes can't lose at home. 20th at Lakers Good luck Cavs.....(oops I meant worst luck)
Oops.. sorry. I meant to type Celtics. I don't know why I typed Cavs. Anyways looking at their upcoming schedule I think they'll go down @ LA. If they win then, they'll probably lose @ Sac or @ Portland; on their long Western roadtrip.
IF they get to 16, 17, 18 in a row, the pressure will start to mount like it did with us. Clev is not that deep to sustain a very long winning streak. Bos also has lost some of its key reserves as well...the pressure will just overtake both teams. If one of those teams does tie it, what will it say about the league as it will have happened in back to back seasons....i would then have to agree with barkley when he said the league has gotten worse, too much parity in the league as well. free agency, trades, and execs not really giving a f*** have allowed good teams to get better and avg teams get worse.
IIRC, we have owned the Cavs the last few years. Too bad we'll play them on the 2nd night of a back-to-back in their house. But if we have both Ron and Tmac back healthy, we still can take them.
Atlanta denied Cleveland, which again shows how the Cavs play against good-to-elite teams. So sorry, bahaha!
