As I was watching this incredibly entertaining game, I started wondering, why in the world is this Golden State team so bad? They have a great rebounding and defensive center in Biedrins, leadership and defense in Stephen Jackson, a steady offensive threat in Magette, a good shooter and passer in Jamal Crawford, energy and defense in Turiaf off the bench and now a jump shooter and a slasher to the basket in Monta Ellis! Just look at this roster and tell me they should easily be better than the Mavs and Suns: POS STARTER 2nd 3rd 4th Point Guard Jamal Crawford C.J. Watson Marcus Williams Shooting Guard Monta Ellis Belinelli Anthony Morrow Small Forward Stephen Jackson Maggette Azubuike Randolph Power Forward Brandan Wright Rob Kurz Jermareo Davidson Center Andris Biedrins Ronny Turiaf Honestly, the only major weakness is at PF. Even though there are so many shooters on the roster, with some strict guidance, they can be better! Is Nellie-Ball the major culprit?
Monta looks pretty good for his first game back. The usual no defense, but they have suffered a lot of injuries this year. It also doesn't help that Nelly has quit on the season.
Injuries Stack Jack has been playing hurt all year Maggette hurt A lot of new players. Monta Ellis hurt, this is his first game and the team seems energized for it. But biggest reason is they play no defense.
I understand that they have been injured and that they don't play defense. All I'm saying is that f you look at what Scotty has brought to OKC and what Larry Brown has brought to Charlotte. Although they are still losing, they seem to bring it every night and actually have an identity. In the right hands, this team can finally stop playing spoiler and actually be the favorite.
The Warriors are too small and have too little post scoring to be a threat. Until they get a legit PF or C that can score inside, they will remain no more than an exciting sideshow. Nellie's small ball is a proven failure. Cap'n Jack with a couple of daggers late to win the game. The dunk Monta Ellis had was crazy. He's completely healthy and only a little rusty. LEBRON! LEBRON! LEBRON! LEBRON! SICK! SICK! SICK! Two heart-breaking losses in a row for the Warriors. Jeff Green did it on Wednesday.
LeBron looked like he was a little confused before he got the shot up. I've been to a couple of games at Oracle. It does get loud as heck in there. Notice how he held the follow through on that shot. He did that for Rick Barry.
capt jack imo. Falls in love with the jumpshot and literally shoots the team out of victory, regularly.
