My hope is that the Cavs select Joe Johnson the 2/3 guard from arkansas with the 8th selection in the 2001 draft. Houston has the 23rd pick in the upcoming draft and are possibly looking to trade it. Well the cavs got a lot of players at the 2 and 3 position that we could trade.Incuding:
    Matt Harpring G-F 6-7 231
    Cedric Henderson* F 6-7 225
    Jim Jackson G 6-6 220
    Trajan Langdon G 6-3 197
    Lamond Murray F 6-7 236
    Wesley Person F-G 6-6 200
Maybe a deal can be worked out for the 23rd pick. This would give the Cavs the 8th, 20th, 23rd, and 36th. Heres who i hope the select with these picks.
    8th- Joe Johnson 6-9 225 SF Arkansas
    20th- Gerald Wallace 6-7 210 SG/SF Alabama
    23rd- Samuel Dalembert 6-11 232 C Seton Hall
    36th- Ken Johnson 6-11 227 PF/C Ohio St.
What are the chances of this happening please respond and let me know.

If you get a 2 guard then you will be set for next season. The East is not strong so the Cavs can easily compete for a 5th or 6th spot next season.

Houston is all set at the 2/3 position, but thanks anyway (although I do like Harpring).

I don't think that we are set at the 2/3 otherwise we would'nt be looking to pick up a player like Joe Johnson.Harpring could be a good reserve forward who could replace Walt, but he is injury prone.

CavsFan, I personally guaruntee you that Ken Johnson won't drop that far.

Also the Magic are extremely interested in Dalembert.

I can see the first 3 happening, but personally I think Ken Johnson will stay first round. Maybe Steve Hunter from Depaul is more likely.

The Cavs need a center. We will give you Cato for 1 of your cheerleaders

Cato for a cheerleader - yeah, I'd take that deal, too. We would be getting a steal!

The only guy you mentioned that interests me is Harpring. I got to know him fairly well when I was in Orlando last year. He got royally screwed over by the Magic, who misdiagnosed his ankle injury. They told him to keep playing and it ended up costing him a season. Then they traded him. He will never be the player he could have been.

The thing you have to love about Matt is that he gives 1000% every night. He has that Jerome Kersey, Mario Elie kind of hustle. Every team needs a guy like that. His aggressive defensive style would make Rudy happy, too.
