2 minutes remaining in the half when Shaq backing on the paint for hoops against Cato and saw Cato moving away from Shaq with easy basket. Then Rudy called timeout and for those of you watching during the 20 second timeout were Wilis ( the veteran)giving a quick tip on how to slow down the big man,but seems like Cato is not willing to take some quick lessons from Wilis. Man, the guy is just a big freaking JOKE!!!
I saw that. I was sitting there yelling at TV-Cato, and telling Willis that it was a waste of time, because Cato doesn't respond well to criticizm (constructive or otherwise).
Cato is a big pill of **** for that. Cato should listen, and give repect to Kevin. I think cato needs to be released. Is there anybody out there that can tell me if we release him, and he is picked up from waivers are we still obligated to pay his contract? If so, for how long?
I think Cato is having a bad time already this year. He's obviously out of shape, but that could get better as the season goes on. I think that was his first mistake in trying to sway peoples opinions about his playing ability from last year. As a result, people are still raggin on him and he knows this. When Rudy T. takes him out of the game, he walks off the court with his head hanging down... its kinda sad Cmon, I think we should at least hope for the best cuz Cato is here to stay! ok, everyone light a candle tonite and put some mojo in that guys game!
Here we go...if everyone creates a positive mojo for Cato...who knows what might happen??!!?? http://www.t0.or.at/vvv/vvv.htm
Actually it looks like CATO is afraid of the Hack a SHAQ! Seriously, I saw that when Willis was trying to tell him and give him pointers! And what does Cato do?? Sulk his head down and pout! Rather than hold his head up high and say, I am gonna kick some m&^$# <bleep> a%@! Sad to say, he has talent but he doesnt want to utilize it or work for it! Guess he wants to settle being known as a second class overpaid Center in the history of the NBA which will soon become a forgotten player of a nobody!
If we release him and someone picks up the contract in 48 hours, we are scott free, immediately. If he clears waivers, the contract is null and void making him a free agent to sign with anyone; however, if there are guaranteed compensation clauses in that contract, we must pay them....that why they call them guaranteed. We pay anything over the minimum...at least that is what Larry Coon says. My reading is that we pay anything above what the other team signs him to, which generally is the minimum. This is what the Lakers did with Shaw. Shaw got cut, cleared waivers, but was no longer under a guaranteed provision in his contract...so, the contract was terminated with no guaranteed compensation...thus they could sign him back for less.
I'm about ready to say screw this freakin guy. Sure he's got the physical tools, but a lot of people have come and gone in this league who "had the tools". He doesn't have the fire inside, and you can't teach that. Try and trade him for anything, if you can't cut his fat lazy a$$. P.S. 100th post
