Anyone know if his BYC tag is lifted over the summer? I know there are some guys, like Keith Van Horn, and some others, that will get their BYC status removed over the offseason, and if that's the case with Cato, it would be so much easier to move him.

P.S. This is what part of the alphabet would look like if Q and R were eliminated.

And how he needs to be moved!

Cato is a cancer on this team. He brings no heart. No determination. No desire to win. All Cato wants to do is be a scorer and this was proven by his idiotic comments a few weeks ago when he said that defense is overrated and that our offense will be what wins games. If Cato had a brain, he'd know that he is here strictly for his defensive skills and not for his limited offensive skills.

I hope that Cato's lack of playing time (along with his heartless suck-ass-ness) is because some sort of trade was arranged but can't be consummated until BYCs are removed. I believe when we renounce Hakeem (or when we are under the cap, anyway) that Cato will lose BYC. I wonder if New Jersey would take him; Cato, Walt, and a pick, sending Van Horn (who is not long for NJ) to a third team for a top-name player (Brand, SAR).

Or simply send him to Chicago? To get him off the books would be nice.

Not lifted, but should change to 75%, on July 1, rather than the current 50%.

Catos BYC status should not affect us because we will be under the cap. He would still count as full value to whomever he was traded to, but we could only count him as half(or three quarters next year) for salary we can take back. We could still take $10+ million because of cap space and I doubt he will draw more than $13+ million in player salaries.

If we're under the cap, then Cato will not be a BYC player. If we're over the cap (i.e we don't renounce Hakeem), then Cato's BYC number goes from 50% to 75% as Mango stated.

Excuse my ignorance, but BYC is an acronym for?
