I was hoping this thread would be about Kelvin Cato telling kids to pull up their pants instead wearing them down under their asses.
Ron Paul said something similar. Are we really at the point where even things like FEMA are being questioned? http://blog.chron.com/texaspolitics/2011/08/ron-paul-who-needs-fema/
In the grand scheme of things, disaster relief is one of the last things I want the federal government to stop spending money on.
I wonder which region of the country gets the most FEMA services. Lets localize emergency services so that the moochers won't keep mooching off of producers.
Someone I've never heard of at an institution I don't care about said something about my pants? Ron Paul is more disconcerting. Let the states do it? Forgive me if I sarcastically roll my eyes at the idea of the State of Texas doing something helpful for someone struck with misfortune.
Our state just cut billions from the education of our children, all so a guy could run for President saying he's "fiscally conservative". I don't trust Governor Goodhair to keep our best interests at heart when it come to disaster relief.
If I recall correctly though Ron Paul got his district some federal funds to help with recovery after Ike.
ron paul voted against hurricane assistance for ike victims. ITS HIS FREAKIN DISTRICT http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=154474&highlight=paul
