Nice find. I think it's great that Cato at least has the confidence or goal to say that he's going to lead the league in rebounding. I think it would have to be based on "per-48 minutes" with a minimum of x amount of rebounds. I say that because he's playing behind Olajuwan, and may end up only averaging 24 minutes a game again.

Give me 7 boards in 24 minutes, or if Olajuwan is out for extended periods, 10 boards in 36 minutes, and I'm very happy.

Like Dawson said, I'd take the same production if he'd change his attitude. Look for 2001-2002 for Cato to see big minutes and make his biggest stride. That gives him what? 4 years as a starter under his contract?

Cato said he will lead the league in rebounding this season

    Uhhhhh. Whoah.

Brent Johnson, a Rockets scout, made a more modest prediction -- that Cato will run the court better than any big man in the league.

This I can believe. I think Cato will indeed become a key defensive player- not because of shot blocking ability, but his help in the full court press and half-court traps.

Cato is crazy. He won't get enough minutes to lead the NBA in rebounding. I think Shaq or Mutombo will get that title.

Mourning has a better shot at the title than Cato.

Hey, if Jamie Feick can make a serious contention for the title for at least a little while, there's no reason Kelvin cannot. [IMG]

Maybe Kelvin is just crazy enough to do it.
