All I have to say to all the Cato bashers, or might I say the current ex-Cato bashers/bandwagoners...... I TOLD YOU SO!!!!!!!!
I take back what I said...about him...he is really trying this year...I do not know about being on his bandwaggon and all I am just glad that he is doing what he was put on this team to do. So Rock on Cato!!! Do what you do!!!
To all those Cato Lovers, It's been one game..... don't toot your horn just yet..... let's see if he can do this game to game.... history tells us NO!!! I hope history is wrong....
Hey MsCato13!! Last time I saw you, did you notice I over-tipped you?..............That was unintentional................................. You owe me a lapdance RED
No, Cato is far from great! He played one solid, not great, game. He has a lot more work to do, he's got to bring it every night. Excellence is measured over time, not moments. But I must give him props, he played well. I hope he continues.
I've been one of those bashers, but I must admit he's shown a lot more heart & consistentcy than ever before. However, I'm still going to wait until 20 games into the season before I jump on the bandwagon. One game & a preseason doesn't necessarily mean he's committed himself to the team yet. Aside from that, this is what we've needed from Cato & if he continues on with it, we'll be definite contenders for the playoffs & then who knows.
Yeah, that WAS immature (as opposed to coming here after one decent game by Cato and saying I TOLD YOU SO??)
If 9pts and 12rbs and some good defense means "great", what should we say about Stevie? We're happy because we're seeing signs of improvement. Not greatness. Sure seeing Cato playing like he was last night is encouraging. But isn't he supposed to do it? Shouldn't he be doing this the last 2 freaking years?
I can see the SI cover now, "Cato: From Dud to Stud!" Well, it could happen, maybe, if he continues to "bring it" night after night. I was impressed not only with his rebounding, defense, and clutch scoring, but his on court demeanor. He was clapping, cheering and encouraging other players. I was amazed. If this continues good things or in store for the Rockets. What did bother me was the guards return to "dribblitis," "stupidpassitis," and "wherebemyheadIlooklikearookieitis." Hopefully, those conditions won't be persistent, infectious, or contagious!
