He seems very modest right now. He was saying how he will do things differently because he was only going to get so many shots this year. Cat is the longest running rocket now. He should be ready to be the for sure go to guy this year when he's called upon. I'm getting way pumped up about this year...Rudy also was saying good things about Yao Ming again. How he can pass shoot and do so many things that he will be contributing early on...Life just starts taking on a greater meaning when the Rockets season starts…We will surprise people this year. I can’t wait.
That sounds like an awesome attitude. As good as I think he is on offense, he's going to have to defer on offense to Griff and Ming eventually + learn to play w/o the ball.
Cat's a smart player. He knew he had to score last year, Steve was out 26 games, Rice and MT were out, Moochie didn't have a training camp and was overweight. There was more pressure to try to fill it up and ball hog. Hopefully the motion practices are showing him that he'll get his within the offense and off the other players (teams having to respect and guard the others). A huge difference may be Yao Ming's passing ability and offensive threat over that of Cato. Steve, Cat, MT, Yao, and Rice are potentially the best starting offensive 5 in the league. Pick your poison, which is exactly what the motion offense and Yao posting high will force teams to do. Who are they going to double team off of? Then here comes Mooch, KT, EG, Torres, and even Cato. Boki and Mickeal too. Plenty of depth. It is exciting...
