Cat as it gets closer to the draft would it be possible to list some of the players and their positions and some ratings if you have them. I would like to see this for some of the rookies ifthat is possible. Thanks, CK ------------------ CC.Net Sim Homepage For stats, standings and team information.
Castor, The ratings for the rookies are generally similar... obviously the top 3 rookies, Curry, Griffin, and Brown, are at the top, but all the talent levels are fairly even (1-3, 4-9, 10-13, 14-20, 20-29, you get the point). However, it has always been a policy of mine, and I plan on maintaining it, to not give out ratings. For the most part, they are very reflective of real life, and I can't tell you how many lower rated players just completely outplay some of the higher rated players. Especially with the league being full now, there is one thing I will not let this league turn into, and that's trading based on ratings. I can't tell you how many places I've heard people say "Well so and so's an 82 and this other guy is just an 80 so I can't do it" even if the 80 is significantly better. I can't get most of the ratings without using a memory spot I can't afford to lose, so the point most of the time is mute, but obviously since I created the draft players they are exceptions. Trade on real life performance, team needs, stats, potential, etc. People can say it all they want, but I've seen it happen too many times... everyone goes ratings crazy and completely ignores what they should be looking at in order to build a basketball team. Treat this like you're a real NBA GM preparing for the draft, except that you obviously can't watch them workout. I will guarantee you all players are rated fairly for the draft, and just look through all the scouting reports you can find to see if that player would fit your team. Also be aware high schoolers won't be able to contribute much right away. However, I will give out the positions for the rookies I have currently created (I know I have not created everyone yet). Other position means the second position I have them available to play at, although it is not their natural spot. Eddie Griffin-- SF (other position PF) Eddy Curry-- C (other position PF) Kwame Brown-- PF (other position SF) Shane Battier-- SF Rodney White-- PF (other position SF) Jason Richardson-- SG (other position SF) Tyson Chandler-- SF (other position PF) Pau Gasol-- SF (other position PF) Sagana Diop-- C Richard Jefferson-- SF (other position SG) Joe Johnson-- SF (other position SG) Jamaal Tinsley-- PG Troy Murphy-- PF Loren Woods-- C (other position PF) Brendan Haywood-- C Those are the ones I have created to this point... ------------------ "Basketball players win basketball games. Thanks. I was actually more interested in how you were positioning them with the extra position anyway. as far as ratings go I was just curious as to how you were going to rate them(according to actual stats or how they have been portrayed by media or other sources). That will be the exact draft order on draft day. Lol. ------------------ The next time I have meat and mashed potatoes, I think I'll put a very large blob of potatoes on my plate with just a little piece of meat. And if someone asks me why i didn't get more meat, ill just say, "Oh, you mean this?" and pull out a big piece of meat from inside the blob of potatoes, where ive hidden it. Good magic trick, huh?
