That's not suprising. Cuttino is just a dumbass. I will say this, he has the ability to become a very good player, but man is he dumb and stupid. I think his stupidness will keep him from ever becoming the player he thinks he is.

And I'm sure no other good player in the NBA ever says he will take the last shot. Trash talking is a part of the game, like it or not. Ever see Gary Payton and Nick Van Exel jawing at each other, or other players? Do you seriously think they don't say that they're going to take (and make) the final shot in situations where they get angry, or after the other player makes a move on them? If that makes Cuttino a dumbass, then 9 out of every 10 players in the league has to be considered one too.

If it took Cuttino Mobley telling the Pacers they were running a play for him for them to guard him then the Pacers are idiots. Anybody with half a brain knows that Francis or Mobley will take the last shot, and Mobley more often then not because of past situations.

Mobley is not Gary Payton or Nick Van Exel for that matter. Trash talking is reserved for the better players in the league. Cuttino needs to shut up and go out there and play and leave the trash talking alone. That goes for any other wanna be who trash talks as well.
With the new zone rules Mobley is sadly not nearly as effective as he was in prior seasons. His threat of the drive is greatly diminished since he has to get by 2-3 guys to get a shot off at the rim. Unfortunately, his mouth has not come back down to the level of his game this season.

How is it ok for these "better players" to trash talk, but not Cuttino Mobley? If Van Exel is in that class, Steve Francis definitely is. Steve Francis was second in the entire NBA last season in technicals. Yes, I realize many were for hanging on the rim, but he did get more "mouthing" and trash talking type Ts than Cuttino as well. Why is it ok for Steve to do it to the tune of the second most technicals in the league, but not ok for Cuttino to do it? Is Steve a better player than Cuttino? Damn right. Does that somehow make his trash talking less harmful than Cuttino's? Are you absolutely sure you're a Rocket fan? The majority of posts on this board from you are either praising Steve Francis or Eddie Griffin, or b****ing and complaining about anyone else. It seems like you'd be better off following the Blazers or some team loaded with superstars, if you can't accept that not everyone is perfect.
Look The Cat, I don't need you to question the fact I am a Rocket fan. I'm one of the biggest Rocket fans there is or I wouln't waste time posting on this board, but I'm not going to go on blindly and not speak my mind about the things I dislike about the team. I voice my displeasure about players when I feel they are hurting the team, Eddie or Steve included. The fact is this team has many issues, and I'm sorry but Cuttino's dumb ass is one of the major issue going on with this team. Are you guys Rockets fans or what? I tired of seeing a majority of the people in these forums putting down OUR team! Every damn day I come in here I see posts putting Cat, mooch, and Cato down. I feel like Im in a damn Lakers forum!
Part of the reason there is a bulletin board on this site is to voice your opinion whether it be negative or positive. It is my belief that Mobley should be coming off the bench, that being said only if the Rockets had a better option. Mobley in my eyes doesn't have what it takes to be a starter. I remember when he came off the bench a couple years back (albeit we had a better team), he was a great spark off the bench. Mobley takes too many ill-advised, and yes very stupid shots. I remember when I went to the Phoenix game he forced way too many shots. Although many people may disagree with what I said above, the fact remains that Rudy T needs to get on Mobley for not thinking on the court.
Whether or not we cry about our team or defend them like we were more blind than Stevie Wonder, the Rockets record is not affected by this BBS. You have your right to be the most upbeat Rocket fan, just like how I have my right to say what I want, as long as if I have some form of proof.
