So Cat's made the 3 point shoot out http://www.chron.com/cs/CDA/ssistory.mpl/sports/2365503 scroll all the way down to read about that. Meanwhile, on the accompanying Blinebury article, there's this Yao quote -- "I think I need to get some more eyes to see where he is going to pass the ball," Yao said. "There's a phrase from China that's similar to `manna from heaven.' It is, `Something good to eat falls from the sky.' When he passes, it's like that." http://www.chron.com/cs/CDA/ssistory.mpl/sports/2365894 i thought that was funny.
I can't wait for this...I think CAT can do well, but Peja is still the man... I hope they let Franchise in the Dunk contest...
whoo hooo!!! Go Cat!! i hope he gets in one of those rolls he gets in.....which he has displayed several times this season!
That's great for cat. Francis will not be in the dunk contest though... "The Sprite Rising Stars Slam Dunk will showcase four of the league’s youngest high-fliers in a two-round competition open to NBA players who are currently playing in their first three years in the league ." http://www.nba.com/news/allstarsaturday_040121.html
Cat officially in 3 pt. contest Cat's #6 in 3pts made this season I believe. He'll be in the contest on Saturday night of the All-Star weekend. Here's hoping he smokes some fools!
Cat is a streak shooter, so it will all depend upon how he starts. If he starts off hot, then he has a chance. If he only makes one or two from his first rack, though, then look for a clank fest... Peja's stroke is so sweet, though. I wouldn't bet against him...
http://www.nba.com/news/shootout_040122.html There is no sharp shooter in Three-Point Shootout except for Peja. And the winner goes to ... Peja as we all know. Just hope Cat finish the second.
What's going to give cat an upper hand in this, is for the fact that he shoots almost a set shot and barely gets any lift under him.... this way he won't be as tired if he advances... Stuart
There is no way someone other than Peja wins this one. Barry will be runner-up. Random fact, did you know that Detlef Schrempf was twice in this contest, both times beaten by Larry Bird... In 1994-95 he had a .514 three-point percentage in 82 games...
