(AP) -- Elton Brand, the NBA's co-rookie of the year last season with the Chicago Bulls, had 47 points Sunday to lead the League All-Stars to a 156-152 win over the Homecoming All-Stars in a charity basketball game before a crowd of 9,472 at the Hartford Civic Center. The event, part of Vin Baker's Homecoming Weekend 2000, aimed to raise $100,000 for Hartford's Camp Courant, Doc Hurley's Scholarship Fund, Connecticut's Special Olympics and Connecticut Children's Medical Center. ``We had fun out on the court, but I want everybody to remember that this is all about helping out the kids and those who are less fortunate than us,'' said Baker, a former University of Hartford star. Baker, who plays for the Seattle Supersonics, called a report of a possible trade to the New York Knicks ``just rumor to me. I'm really not sure what's going on. I've been concentrating on this weekend.'' Patrick Ewing has given the New York Knicks a list of eight teams to which he will accept a trade, and a deal with the Supersonics for Baker has been discussed, the Daily News reported Saturday. The Homecoming All-Stars included Baker and five former University of Connecticut stars, including Donyell Marshal, who had 56 points to lead the Homecoming All-Stars. Other former UConn players who played with the Homecoming All-Stars included: Richard Hamilton with 27 points; Kevin Freeman with 22; Khalid El-Amin with 19; and Kevin Ollie with 18. For the League All-Stars, Cuttino Mobley, a former University of Rhode Island star currently with the Houston Rockets, had 28 points. ------------------
