He would be a nice addition at the right price.....from article:

"While Cassell has said he expects to return, a source close to the situation said Houston, San Antonio, and Dallas also have interest in his services. Bartelstein said the Celtics seem interested in bringing back another one of his clients, House, but other teams are interested as well. Bartelstein also said Pollard is recovering well from surgeries on both ankles that ended his season prematurely and still wants to play next season."

And, he IS a PG...who can shoot.

    :D

Sam only played 10 minutes a game in the Finals, and his team won. A team that has Rajon Rondo and Eddie House as their other PG options. Announcers even commented on the fact that it was good if Sam didn't make his first shot because then he wouldn't be encouraged to try and keep shooting.

I love some nostalgia, but I don't know how much Sam could really help.

    Barry - Yes
    Cassell - No
    Horry - HELL No

I have great respect for the guys and what they did for us. But they're both done. I'd take Cassell as a mentor, coach, whatever...but I don't want him on the court. He hurt the Celts way more than he helped them in the playoffs and finals.

And Horry is ridiculously done. How people think he has anything left after what he's shown the last 2 years both regular season AND playoffs (where he used to shine at least), I have no idea

Horry is better than having head or Wood sitting at the end of my bench if we were paying them the same...lol

no... he almost made the celtics lose.

brent barry would be nice. horry and cassel? they usually show up during playoffs, but last postseason.. they both sucked. sign of old age? i think so.

now eddie house... i would love to have him. shoots 3 better than luther, and can DRIBBLE.

Bench scoring. Sam is exactly what we need off the bench. Instant offense for 10-15 minutes a game.

He does have trouble staying healthy, but then again he is 80 years old

Sam struggled in the finals, but I think he had some moments in the playoffs against Cleveland....for me he is a better option than Bobby Jackson.

No to all these 35+ guys. Those are the kinds of guys you sign to get over the hump and add depth/experience to an already very talented roster. We aren't even close to the top of the hump yet.

No to Cassell. He's a chucker and only looks to get his own shot off. He doesn't even try to create for anybody at this point.

    Horry - No
    Cassell - No
    Barry - I guess
    Eddie House - Absolutely

Uh....without a healthy Yao we finished a grand total of TWO games out of first in the entire western conference.

All while learning an entirely new system and integrating 3 new rotational players.

I think we are RIGHT there when healthy.

I live in boston, watched the celtics throughout playoffs... I think ppl are fixated on 2004 clippers sam cassell, when he was still elite. He's not that good anymore, I'd rather see brooks get the minutes.

    Barry - yes
    Sam - No
    Horry - Nooooo

Sam is 40? Horry is 37. Rox would be the oldest team in the world.
