Honestly, people have been complaining that Song of The South hasn't ever been available on home video/DVD/Blue Ray since they started releasing movies to watch in the home in the 80s.

 

If this is a qenuine question it is the stereotypically "urban" black crows, but I think some of the stereotypical speech and behavior they depict are so dated that kids wouldn't necessarily make that connection to race.

But if I really want my kids to watch it really bad I can always log myself in and play it for them. But I have to consciously allow it, rather than kids stumbling on it.

Even so dont care. Plenty of other stuff for kids to watch that they would probably prefer to watch. Dumbo isn't exactly MacBeth or To Kill A Mockingbird.

 

It was a serious question but now that you mention it I do recall the black crows being an issue before but I didn't recall what cartoon they were associated with. They were like a stand alone skit in my memory.

I thought they removed /changed the crow scenes? Maybe that was just for the live action.

I think the scene where they get drunk is pretty inappropriate for children under 7 as well.
