When we next have a Republican president, please nobody post how gas prices are all that guy's fault. Because gas prices have a hell of a lot more to do with a ton of other things than with who's in the White House. And somebody hose down gwayneco before he starts another thread....my God.
The spate of one-word posts can only mean one thing. they mad http://www.usnews.com/news/blogs/ballot-2012/2012/04/10/obama-leads-mitt-romney-in-new-poll Comment Tweet inShare Related Articles Gallup: Independent Ladies Pick Obama Santorum Puts Industry Before Environment Panel Says Long, Tough Campaign Will Help, Not Hurt Mitt Romney
Maybe Obama should send the economy into a depression to get gas prices back down. It worked for Bush - at least he avoided this 'horrible' distinction!
The world financial system is not on the brink of collapse, as it was in December 2008. The data used in the above numbers: Bush took office: $1.48 Bush left office: $1.79 Obama took office: $1.93 Obama now: $3.93 Never mind that gas went up much further during the Bush admin until it crashed along with the rest of the world in the last few months of his administration. That seems to be all that the NRCC is concerned about, so I imagine they approve of that as a method to lower gas prices.
Why Gas Prices Are Out of Any President's Control http://www.nytimes.com/2012/04/01/business/gas-prices-are-out-of-any-presidents-control.html Gas is up because of world sanctions against Iran and shortages in Syria, Yemen, and Sudan, all of which are out of our control.
More extrasolar planets were discovered under Bush II than under all previous presidents combined. Discuss. I would even argue that presidents might have slightly more influence on astrophysics programs than they do ****ing gas prices. Why do we insist on being so stupid all the time? Humanity doesn't have time for this.
